GCB stands for “Grower’s Choice Box” so let our craft growers pick the best greens of the week for you! The indoor greens at our farms are cultivated on a weekly growing cycle. So we always hand pick and select the best ones that are ready to be harvested and packed into your box.
2. What’s included in each box?
It is a combination of well over 2 pounds of (2 LB) artisan greens (such as varieties of gourmet lettuce. Kale, Swiss Chard) and “super-food” Microgreens, fresh herbs and tomatoes.
3. Is there a “contract” for ordering the box?
There is no contract, no obligation or commitment with GCB. You can order week by week. Just making sure you place your order & payment by Wednesday (midnight)—the “cut-off time” to receive the box on the same-week Friday. Due to first come first served basis, there is a chance we might run out of fresh supplies of the week until the following week. If you want a guaranteed box each week, choose our 3 months subscription option.
4. Can I skip a week with the 3 months subscription?
You bet! Just make sure you notify us by midnight Wednesday prior to the same-week Friday pick-up.
5. I don’t see a payment method when ordering online. How do I pay?
Once you fill out the online order form we will send you a confirmation e-mail with embedded e-invoice(clickable link) to complete the payment.
6. Once ordered when can I expect my box to be ready for pick up?
If your order & payment is completed by Wednesday (midnight) your GCB pick up should be the same-week Friday at your designated pick up location. If the order & payment is completed after the “cut-off “time, your GCB might not be ready until the following week Friday.
7. How long will my ingredients stay fresh?
We recommend enjoying your GCB within a week for maximum freshness. Be sure to store them in the fridge once you pick it up.
8.Is your packaging recyclable?
YES! Our boxes and liners are 100% curbside recyclable.
9. Do I need to wash the greens?
The greens are packaged in the box in “whole heads” to best preserve their natural shape and nutrition. Plus we never use chemical solutions to “triple-wash” them therefore we do suggest you give them a quick gentle rinse before preparing.
